Introduction
Welcome! You are now involved in a very important component of the educational process at Burnaby North Secondary. When you are a Peer Tutor you are more than a student: you are a role model, a mentor, someone that others look up to and admire. Your role as a peer tutor can give you insight in to your own learning needs and styles while also crystallizing your own learning. This role is win – win for you, your tutees, your sponsor teacher and the school as a whole. We are a learning community and you are an important person in this community! Welcome.
Why Be A Peer Tutor?

· Help the classroom teacher who cannot reach all the students each day

Why Do Some Students Need A Peer Tutor?
· Poor organizational skills/test-taking skills
· Absent from class due to illness
